Five Strategies To Grow Your Business Faster!

Let’s dive right into the five strategies to help you grow your business faster!

When it comes to your business:
  1. What is it that you want to achieve? How will you grow? A plan and a vision is important.
  2. You want to make sure that you stay consistent. Show up every single day and take a couple of steps towards that goal that you have for your business.
  3. Treat your business like it’s a marathon and not a sprint. So make sure that whatever steps you are taking in your business, you can continue to take without burning yourself out. You also want to leave enough time for self-care, and leave yourself enough downtime to rejuvenate your creative spirit.
  4. Collaborate with other people to help you grow your business even faster. Find some people that are either in your industry, but doing something slightly different, or in other industries that have the same audience as you have. You’ll see this a lot with internet business owners who cross-promote each other’s packages all the time. Find someone that you can work with and collaborate with so that you can both have a mutually beneficial relationship, but also benefit both of your audiences.
  5. Get some help. Don’t be shy of hiring a coach or a consultant, joining a mastermind, and also outsourcing any and all of the projects that you no longer find enjoyment in.

It’s important for you to stay patient. Remember that anything worthwhile and successful doesn’t just happen overnight. It does take time. It does take patience, and it’s definitely going to take all of the five tips that I shared with you today.

The Art of Saying No

“No,” – How do you say it in your business and to others? The first thing I tell my clients to do before they implement this is to get clear on what it is that you want in your life, your business, and your career.

When you know what it is that you want, it becomes easier to realize when you’re saying yes to things that are not serving you. And will help you to figure out what you should say no to and what you can say yes too.

A lot of us have a problem saying no to people because we don’t know how to do it. The other important thing that you have to start to practice how to say no to people. I’m going to teach you this quick, little tip that will help you to say no the next time someone asks you to do something that’s out of line with what is that you want to accomplish.

Are you ready?

The simple, little word is just simply, “No, thank you.”

Start practicing this with little things that you can say not to, because it is really hard if you’ve always been a peoples-pleaser and always said “yes” to everything, to all of a sudden start to lay down those boundaries for people.

How to start implementing “No Thank You.”

Start small. Next time someone offers you a coffee, and you don’t want a coffee, just say, “No, thank you;” or anything simple like that. Then you can slowly build up your resistance to saying no to bigger things.

And what you will find when you start saying no to people is that you actually create a whole bunch of space for things that you do want in your life. I guarantee that if you practice this magic-little-no-thank-you line enough, you are going to be a happier, more fulfilled and more relaxed person.
Now I’d love to hear from you: How do you get over the guilt of saying no to people? If you have recently started saying no or also have had an “Ah-ha” saying no to people, please remember to tell us about in the comments below, because we’d love to hear from you.

Also, remember to signup for my newsletter where I share little extra tips that I don’t share anywhere else. As always, please share this video with two to three people who could really do with saying no more in their life. Thank you for watching, and I’ll catch you again next time.

The right time to quit your job and start your business!

Today we’re going to be discussing when the right time is to quit your job and start growing your business.

Figuring out when to leave a job is precisely what clients come to me for. To answer this question, we have to delve a little deeper into you and who you are, because it’s a unique situation and it’s different for everybody.

Here are my guidelines that I give my Ultimate Career Bootcamp and Private clients to help them pin down the perfect time to quit their jobs:
  1. You do want to make sure that you are financially secure. If you have a side business and you still have a day job, you want to make sure that your side business is doing reasonably well so that when you do quit your job, you can ramp up business pretty quickly. If you want to quit your job and start from scratch, you want to make sure that you have some savings in the bank to help you while you’re ramping up your business. If you’re not financially secure, you will do what I did, and you will have a little bit of a panic attack because finances might get too tight. And then you’ll be tempted to hop right back into whatever it is that you’re doing now and ultimately just end up being unhappy again.
  2. The next thing that you want to ask yourself is: What is my primary goal? If your long-term goal is that you want to be the owner of your company, then there’s no better time than now to quit your job. Remember that it can be daunting to take this leap of faith to start your own business. I totally appreciate and feel you if you’re in that situation right now. But you have to remember that every single minute that is spent in the corporate world is time that you’re not dedicating to growing your business. Ultimately, the longer you hold onto your corporate job, the longer it’s going to take for you to build and ramp up your business and be an entrepreneur.

The answer to the question, “When is the right time for me to quit my job?” is: Right now.

I had this little struggle within myself because I was trying to flip my Pilates business and move more into my coaching business. It was hard for me to let go of my Pilates classes and there was some ego involved. There was also a little bit of “Oh my word, am I going to be able to make bank with my business?”

But here’s ultimately what the deciding factor was for me:

I realized that every single hour that I was spending in my Pilates business was revenue lost in growing my coaching business. You want to make sure that you start to think about it this way.

Think about all the time that you’re going to free up when you no longer have to do your day job, and you can solely focus on growing the thing that you’re passionate about. That was ultimately what helped me to clean out my schedule, focus on my coaching business, and build that.

Now I am so happy that I did that because I’ve exponentially grown my coaching business, and I am so much more excited and happy about where I am at in my career.

Now I’d love to hear from you:  If you’re currently struggling to figure out when the right time is to quit your job and start your business, comment with what’s holding you back below.

Holiday Season Survival Kit

Four easy tips to stay grounded, built trust and grow your network!

When an old Pilates connection recently reached out to ask if I’d lead their women’s leadership group through a hands-on workshop, I was thrilled at the opportunity! I got to coach the team through an array or topics like how to step up and own their role as leader and how to overcome the challenges that are keeping them from leaning in harder.

Listening to the hurdles that all of us face on a daily basis got me thinking just how hectic our lives are and how hard we are on ourselves. During the holidays it all just get crazier.

Here are four easy tips to survive the holidays (and life):

  1. Breath (Four breath pattern)relax in under 30 seconds
A quick few rounds of the four breath pattern can instantly calm and ground you.
How it works: Take a breath in for four counts, hold it for four, breath out for four, hold it for four, and repeat a few times.
I love this one because we don’t always have a chance to meditate or go to the gym. This can be a quick and easy SOS whenever you need it.
  2. Reflectset yourself up for success in 2017
Take five to ten minutes to take stock of your year: What went well in your career and business this year? What did you accomplish? What are you most proud of? We’re always looking ahead and reaching for the next thing, so it’s easy to forget how much you’ve done and how far you’ve come. Give yourself a big fat high five for your journey!
  3. Ask for helpanother way to lean in
We are not islands, and we can’t do it all alone. We often think that asking for help is a complete taboo because others will believe that we’re weak or worse: stupid. In the workshop yesterday, we discovered the contrary. Asking for help can be a great opportunity to build trust and rapport, plus it strengthens the connection with your team and peers. Think about how awesome you feel when people ask for your help! It’s a win-win situation: you get to learn, grow and feel supported, and your colleagues/friends/family get to feel good about helping and sharing their knowledge.
  4. Embrace the seasonget out and network
Everyone’s in the holiday cheer, so now is a great time to get out there and make new connections. Growing your network now will help you prosper and flourish in 2017.

Whatever you do: be sure to enjoy, embrace and fah-la-la-la-laa-la-la-la-lahhhh! No seriously, though, have fun this season!

With lots of love and warm wishes – your business and career coach,
x Hanneke
