Oprah’s Techniques For Success

Did you choke up a little too when you watched Oprah’s Golden Globe speech!? It was sooo good, right? It left me so inspired by what is possible for you, for me and the world. Don’t you just love stuff like this that makes you feel like you can achieve anything in the moment? I stinking LOVE it! Too bad that the jazzed feeling fizzles out rather quickly. And that’s precisely why you have to incorporate Oprah’s other strategies for success in your life, so you can to keep moving and achieving big things in 2018!

Oprah’s Strategies for Success:

  1. Be Unapologetically Yourself!
Oprah has just always been completely herself! She even encouraged ALL of us to be ourselves too and tell our stories in her Golden Globe speech on Sunday. So my dear BE YOU. You’re unique and wonderful – show us more of that!

  3. Embrace Failure
Spoiler alert – if you want to accomplish big things, you’re gonna fail! Even Oprah did! Yup – that’s true – she got fired from her first job as a TV anchor at Baltimore’s WJZ-TV. She got up, dust herself off.

  5. Stop Giving a Sh*t about other people’s opinions!
Or pleasing other people for that matter.  According to Vogue, after Oprah was apparently told that she was “unfit for TV News” when she got fired! Imagine if she had let that go to her head and given up right there.

  7. Give And Help Others
Even in her speech where she was encouraging all of us to tell our stories, no matter how hard or how scared we may be, she managed to tell not only her story but also those of others who deserved to be honored. And that’s Oprah right? She shares, she gives, and she gives again. The next time you think that your small deed won’t do a thing – think again. Change starts with one random act of giving, kindness or whatever is needed to get the process started! Even if it’s as little as a smile or a thank you.And for those of you who are driven by financial success: According to a study from the University of Zurich in Switzerland, giving makes you happier! And another study shows that when we’re more satisfied we earn more.

  9. Surround Yourself With Other Successful People!
Deepak Chopra, Sir Richard Branson, Barack Obama – these are just a few of the famous people that Oprah has either interviewed or collaborated with. And that helped her to become even more famous and successful. You are the average of the five people that you spend most of your time with! So if you’d like to be successful, then get out there and go meet some powerful friends, or invest in a mastermind. (Enrollment to mine is currently open, inbox me at info@hannekantonelli.com if you’re interested!) Whatever you do, do not go at this alone.

  11. Meditate
Oprah is a big believer of meditation to help set the tone in your day! I love meditation because it brings me clarity and focus. This clarity and focus help me to speed up the time it takes to achieve my goals.

“When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself,” Eckhart writes. “When you lose touch with yourself, you lose yourself in the world.”So, although I’m a big proponent of formal meditation—for the discipline, joy, and calm it brings—I’m moving into an even greater phase of being fully present all the time. It’s a heightened state of being that lets whatever you’re doing be your best life, from moment to astonishing moment. The outside world is constantly trying to convince you-you’re not enough. But you don’t have to take the bait. Meditation helps you resist.” ~ Oprah’s Blog
