“No,” – How do you say it in your business and to others? The first thing I tell my clients to do before they implement this is to get clear on what it is that you want in your life, your business, and your career.
When you know what it is that you want, it becomes easier to realize when you’re saying yes to things that are not serving you. And will help you to figure out what you should say no to and what you can say yes too.
A lot of us have a problem saying no to people because we don’t know how to do it. The other important thing that you have to start to practice how to say no to people. I’m going to teach you this quick, little tip that will help you to say no the next time someone asks you to do something that’s out of line with what is that you want to accomplish.
Are you ready?
The simple, little word is just simply, “No, thank you.”
Start practicing this with little things that you can say not to, because it is really hard if you’ve always been a peoples-pleaser and always said “yes” to everything, to all of a sudden start to lay down those boundaries for people.
How to start implementing “No Thank You.”
Start small. Next time someone offers you a coffee, and you don’t want a coffee, just say, “No, thank you;” or anything simple like that. Then you can slowly build up your resistance to saying no to bigger things.
And what you will find when you start saying no to people is that you actually create a whole bunch of space for things that you do want in your life. I guarantee that if you practice this magic-little-no-thank-you line enough, you are going to be a happier, more fulfilled and more relaxed person.
