Business Growth And Innovation w/ Gianne Doherty

Business Growth And Innovation w/ Gianne Doherty

On today’s episode of The Savvy Business Show, we have another very special guest. Gianne Doherty and Jay Weeks founded Organic Bath Co. a skincare line that uses clean ingredients to nourish your skin.  They also founded the Well Summit, which is an event dedicated to helping you live your healthiest and most fulfilling life. This power couple knows how to innovate and get things done.

And today – we take a dive into how they’ve manage to pivot their business and continue to show up as supportive pillars of the community

Let’s Dive in…

Gianne talks with us today about how she was able to quickly pivot her business when COVID-19 pandemic hit the US. Gianne had already been thinking about launching a hand sanitizer for her company Organic Bath Co. This need in the community and the world pushed her to pivot so that she could provide a completely clean alternative.

Organic Bathe Co partnered with Bully Boy Distillers to create this new product. With the launch of the product they were able to develop a plan that allows them to ounce to ounce match your doncations to frontline workers.

Gianne also discusses how she leans into and trusts the power of prayer to continue to move forward in uncertain times. Her motto is:

Learn to rest, not to quit

Many people during these uncertain times have become overwhelemed and feel like giving up. It’s during these times that we need to embrace the non-busyness for a change and let your mind go and create that space for you to maybe even see that thing that you’ve always not done could possibly be something that helps you work through the next million dollar idea. It’s all possible.

The Uplevel Project

Do you want to expand despite the world around you contracting?

Do you want to step into your highest level of leadership even though you’re so freaking tired?

But how does one do this?

It takes commitment, it takes awareness and it takes you implementing certain strategies every day.
And in the Up Level Project, I’ll share the step-by-step and tailored to your specific needs process with you.

Unlock your full potential and create the freedom and abundance you desire for yourself and others, with joy and ease. Enrollment and early bird opens July 6th.

Finally, my book got a name!

Finally, my book got a name!

I’m so delighted to tell you the name of my book (in a minute) but first I wanted to give you some inside scoop about the process of writing it.

When I first had the idea to write this book, the general theme of what the contents would hold was already there. I knew I wanted to share with you my most personal stories and the journey that’s not only led me to become a coach but also changed my life.

You see, for me, coaching isn’t a job. It’s a lifestyle. When you enter a co-creative coaching agreement with me, I don’t just regurgitate theories and textbook blueprints at you.  All the work I do with my clients is discoveries, strategies, and tools that I, myself, have implemented, tested, and acquired along my personal development adventure. In short: I’ve lived and breathed this work.

In fact, before I applied to get my life coach certification, I reached out to my first life coach in London. And I asked her: “Do you think I can do this, Shirley?”

Her answer: “Absolutely, you’re proof of how coaching transforms people. And you’re living it daily.”

I believe that this is another reason that I was able to write my book so freaking fast. By this point, it’s part of my DNA. This must also evidently be why people will often refer to their book as their baby.

And much like most people conceive a child before they have a name for it. My book came to me nameless as well. But that didn’t stop me from continually adding and editing it. I kept the faith that the right name would come at the very right time.

And so it did, and along with that name came another message:

The work I share in this book is needed faster than I can write, publish, and launch it.

I said this in last week’s email, and I’ll say it again here:

It is clear that the world needs better leadership and more wealth in the hands of people who will be able to spread it across all nations, racial and ethnic lines, creating diversity, equity, and equality for all, while simultaneously healing economies across the globe. As a business owner, you hold a lot of power to create this change. To harness this superpower and have the most significant impact, you have to unlock your full potential for innovation and wealth creation.

And that’s where my work becomes of service. What I share will help you cultivate the awareness, and provide the steps to transform into your most confident and impactful self.

And so, with this realization, twins were born:

  • My Book (launching in Winter 2020/21)

The Up-level Project: The ultimate guide for business owners to unlock their full potential, with joy and ease.

    AND
  • My 6-week Course (starting in August 2020) :
The Up-level Project Program: where business owners transcend and expand into their next level of leadership and wealth, with joy and ease.

BONUS: When you sign up to be part of this transformational experience that will re-energize you to step up and create the freedom and impact you desire, you’ll also be the first to get access to my book before it goes out to the public.

I can’t wait to tell you more,

Business Growth And Innovation w/ Janice Carte

Business Growth And Innovation w/ Janice Carte

In today’s episode of The Savvy Business Show, we have another very special guest. Janice Carte is the founder of Tiny Spoon Chef. Tiny Spoon Chef works with busy families, single professionals, and working couples to bring excitement and pleasure to mealtimes at home. Today Janice and I are going to dive in and talk about mistakes that we see business owners make, lessons that she’s learned, and advice for other business owners.

Janice Carte, the CEO of Tiny Spoon Chef, a Boston-based personal chef company bringing healthy, deeply flavorful food to an awesome network of clients – from major league athletes to local daycare owners –  every week.

On paper, she’s an expert in food. In reality, her superpower is relationships.

After years in the restaurant scene, Tiny Spoon Chef began with Janice cooking for a single client at their home. Through word of mouth alone, her side project grew into a full-time business.

In seven years, her success includes 50+ regular clients. A staff of five chefs, and a sustainability-focused home cooking app launching this year.

Let’s dive in…

When Janice started Tiny Spoon Chef, like a lot of people, she was working a day job that was not completely engaging. Janice did a little personal chef in the past, working for friends, kind of one-off jobs. Then more requests started to come in. Before too long, she had three or four clients and a pretty busy side hustle. Tiny Spoon Chef was born!

One of the things that we discuss in this episode is that many business owners during this time of uncertainty felt the need to lower their prices in order to still continue to operate in their business.

This however did not help provide them any relief as they were still working the same amount of time for half of the price. This leads to the business making half of the profits for the same amount of time leaving little to no room to scale your business.

Janice learned this lesson early on as she charged significantly less when she started her business as she was working to build it.

As she got further along she realized that in order to have a successful business that allowed her to work on her craft and grow her business. She needed to cultivate her business to reflect the value that she was putting in, as well as determine her ideal client that she would be able to make a difference with.

When building Tiny Spoon Chef, Janice has made relationship building a cornerstone to its success. For The Tiny Chef, relationship building allows her to make sure people feel seen, feel human, and feel supported.

She has supported her clients by doing things like sending presents to their kids and sending stamps and asking them to write letters to their grandparents.

When doing these things and building the relationships, the business came organically from a loving and genuine place.

During this episode Janice shares some business tips and marketing success stories. And was able to implement, perfect, and grow her business.

How she’s growing now w/ Janet Mesh

How she’s growing now w/ Janet Mesh

In the next few episodes of The Savvy Business Show, we’re going to interview some of the phenomenal business owners who in-spite of the current COVID-19 situation have been able to not only show up but either grow or sustain their businesses.

Our distinguished guest today is Janet Mesh, who is the CEO and Co-founder of Aimtal, a digital marketing agency that provides digital and content marketing services to clients.

    Let’s dive in…

Now, why is it important for us to listen to them? Well, when we see other people do amazing and great things, it inspires us to continue to step up, show up, while creating and achieving our goals and the impact (plus change) we want to see in the world. That is why I wanted to bring back today Janet Mesh.

After freelancing full time for two years, Janet decided to start the digital marketing agency to scale her marketing offers.  I have known Janet for quite a while. She has been a client of mine and I have just been so impressed with how she has built her business to work remotely so fast and everything that she’s accomplished since starting her business.

I specifically wanted to bring her back here today to tell us how she has helped her clients to pivot and innovate during this time and what mindset shifts she has had to make to continue to show up and lead her team from her highest self.

One of the key things that Janet and her team focused on was communication. Having a remote team all over the world it was important to Aimtel to tighten up their communications from the beginning. They felt this was important so that their team would be able to communicate their needs as well as continue to support their clients. They used this time to also helo their clients better communicate with their teams.

Janet’s team also made sure that they kept a pulse on what was planned in the upcoming months for their clients. This allowed them to shift their conferences and marketing efforts towards webinars and online marketing strategies.

Come find out more and how Janet and her team at Aimtel used their resources and gratitude to help them pivot and sustain their business.
