An investment that ALWAYS yields the best ROI.

An investment that ALWAYS yields the best ROI.

Today is the last day to join the Up Level Program and take advantage of the early-bird offer.

Over the years, I’ve invested in many tools, systems, resources, and people to grow my business.

There’s one investment that consistently keeps giving the best ROI — no matter what.

Yet this is also the most overlooked investment that most business owners will quickly put off until the future, or they’ll make excuses why now is not the right time for them to make this investment.

I totally get it, heck — I even ignored this advice when I got it from my financial planner over a decade ago!

Instead, I kept making other investments and couldn’t understand why I struggled so much to grow my business.

You see, the advice my financial planner gave me (which also ironically enough was in our previous recession) was this:

“The BEST investment you can ever make is an investment in yourself.”

When we invest in ourselves, we allow ourselves the opportunity of learning something new that will spark growth and innovation.

That opportunity will allow you to spot the right way forward for your business. Your future investments will yield the best ROI. When we invest in ourselves, we always win.

So if you’re scared of making this investment, know that it’s entirely safe for you to enroll in The Up Level Program!

The level of focus and accountability that this program will give you will allow you to release all the disappointment and frustration that 2020 left in its wake. The Uplevel Proram will set you up to attain sustainable success!

As one of our seven-figure Up Level members in the previous round said:

“Business has been reignited on all levels as a result of my participation in the Up Level Program.

I anticipate my team being more proactive and independent, which will result in them being more productive, efficient, and personally satisfied with their work.

My business will become more focused without losing the breadth and variety of experiences it encompasses.” ~ Brain Milauskus, CEO of Kidstock! Theater

Reignite your business by making this investment in yourself! Join us in the Up Level Project!

The real reason you’re failing to scale (and free up time.)

The real reason you’re failing to scale (and free up time.)

Do you know what your role in your business is?

When you started your business, you were the Chief Everything Officer. You wore all the hats.

And your tenacity, consistency, and drive to succeed were the exact reason why you were able to grow your business to where it is today.

But continuing to be the Chief Everything Officer will not take you to where you want to go.

Most business owners fail to scale because they still show up and run their business from a Chief Everything Office’s mindset, despite hiring people to help them.

What does this look like in practice:

  • They struggle to delegate and manage their employees in an efficient way that frees up time and bandwidth
  • They have a hard time letting go and trusting their business and their employees to attain their vision
  • They are overworked, frustrated, and often dreaming of packing it all in and selling their business to do something else

To scale your business in a sustainable way that will allow for higher profits and freedom, you must assume your role as the visionary and business growth strategist.

So how do successful business owners (you know, the ones you see taking fun vacations and love their business) do this?

They bring consistent focus to their leadership and personal development. Working on these two factors allows them to trust their business, leadership ability and manage their team without the time-consuming drama!

In the Up Level Program, I’ll show you how to do all of the above with grace, and as a result, you’ll not only be able to pave the way for sustainable growth –  but you’ll also gain your passion and freedom back!

The BIG business mistake EVERYONE makes!

The BIG business mistake EVERYONE makes!

I used to chase all the blueprints and “how-to” strategies in business. Whenever someone was marketing something to the effect of “I built x million-dollar business in (insert ridiculously short timeframe) and now I’ll show you how,” I was all ears with my credit card at the ready.

And you know what happened: sweet blue NOTHING.

That’s right. Despite me following all those strategies to a freaking T (I’m an A-aggregate student, and I am consistent AF), I didn’t experience ANY of those magic results these so-called “guru’s” offered.

Instead, those strategies lead to a burnt-out me and burning my business to the ground.

After a lot of reflection and coaching, I finally figured out why those strategies weren’t working:

We are all unique with unique talents and gifts — simply copying a blueprint strategy won’t yield the results you want because the systems have to be adapted to work in alignment with who you are!

So what are all the components of YOU?

1 – Your strengths

2 – Your perspective/how you see or think about business

3 – Your leadership traits

4 – Your unique way of working that fuels you vs. depletes you

To identify the best and most effective strategy, you first have to take that strategy and adapt it according to all four factors mentioned above. (and yes — I help you identify and hone all of the above in The Up Level Program.)

The result: you’ll become more strategic and business savvy.

Once I realized this, my business soared. I finally started working less and earned so much more, and I could travel for extensive periods whenever I wanted.

And of course, I was able to help my clients do the same; here’s what one of them said after they implemented the strategies I teach in the Up Level Program:

Hanneke has completely transformed my business and, more importantly, myself. She’s helped me make so much money, and I realized my goal of taking Fridays off. I highly recommend working with her!  ~ Founder and Owner of Leeward Counseling.

Are you ready to supercharge your business strategies and results?

What it takes to build a multi-million-dollar business w/ Andrea Lucas

What it takes to build a multi-million-dollar business w/ Andrea Lucas

On today’s episode of the Up Level Project Podcast, we are speaking with author and studio owner of Barre & Soul, Andrea Lucas.

Andrea discusses about surviving her most challenging year in business. Listen to today’s episode to hear Andrea’s answers to the questions below.

You have a unique story. You went from being a single mom (who also had to strip for a while to pay your bills.) and being in an abusive relationship, to building a multi-million dollar fitness boutique business.

  • How did you take the first step to turn things around in your life drastically?

I admire so many things about you. One of them is your ability to jump in and take risks. I remember when you first got your TradeMark for Barre & Soul. You quickly invested & grew your business to multiple studios.

  • How do you mitigate risk?
  • How do you decide how much to invest/what to invest in next,/how much risk to take on?
  • What helps you to GO FOR IT.

One of your most significant discoveries while participating in Up Level Program was rediscovering your WHY for your business.

  • When did you first realize something was off? (how did this show up/manifest in your business?)
  • What effects did this misalignment have on you? How did it affect your team?
  • Once you started acting in alignment with your WHY again, what happened?
  • And why would you advise other business owners to check in on/rediscover their why?

You wrote a book! (and recently released it in audio format) Listeners, be sure to go check it out

The book’s name is Own It All –  In this book you teach women how to reach their full potential by playing a more active role in their lives and taking steps to create the future they want.)

  • What was the hardest thing/biggest challenge for you about writing the book?

From your book, the Landmark courses, participating in my Up Level Program, and all the coaches you’ve worked with over the years, it’s clear that you are passionate about personal development.

  • How did this passion help you build a successful business and become a better leader of your team?

As a brick-and-mortar business, 2020 was a challenging year.

  • What would you say were some of your biggest lessons?
  • What were some of the pivots/adjustments that you made that helped you to stand up to it all when others were closing their doors?
  • What’s coming for Barre & Soul 2021? And what do you have in the works that you’re excited for?

Surviving two recessions: more robust and resilient

Surviving two recessions: more robust and resilient

On today’s episode, we’re talking to Brian Milauskus, founder and owner of Kidstock! Theater.

Brian has successfully grown this business to seven figures twice over the last 28 years. A creative genius, Brain first founded Kidstock! with the intention to simply make a living for himself. The company quickly grew to a flourishing business that helps kids use their creative ability through theater to develop critical interpersonal skills and boost their confidence.

Kidstock now offers many opportunities for kids to reach their full creative expression through afterschool movie-making classes, birthday parties, summer camps, they also offer an online curriculum and more.

Under Brian’s guidance, Kidtock! survived two significant recessions – the great recession and the latest recession, which was induced by COVID.

  1. What’s your biggest lesson when it comes to surviving recessions?

Patience – Trust – Don’t panic – release yourself from blame – accept and continue rather than deny and stop – do you want to journey or do you want to arrive?

  1. Recently, in our work together in the Up Level Program, your most profound “aha moment” was the necessity to lead yourself before leading others. Why was this such a big realization for you, and how will this help you create future business success?

Self-employed people are parents to their businesses

In the beginning you need to do everything for it, and then over time you need to let go and allow it some freedom to grow and to become independent, and eventually you need to see your business as an adult child and learn to live with it in a parallel role as opposed to a responsible role – your job is too become responsive to its needs instead of being responsible for its needs.

It can be very difficult to let go of something you love – to stand back and watch it make mistakes on its own and learn from them.

Building a working relationship with this new entity not owning it or letting it own you

Semantics – Control as a noun rather than a verb – being, having, maintaining, managing

  1. You’ve always been interested in personal development and reaching your highest potential. How has this interest and desire helped you in growing your business over the years?

Finding the reward in learning from missteps

Examining rather than accepting

“What if?” as opposed to “what now?”

  1. When you first created Kidstock! You did so out of the desire to “simply make a living.” – but it has grown into a huge success that completely surpassed that first intention. How do you think your focus on being creative and chasing the fun versus the money as a measure for success hindered and helped your success?

Ignorance is bliss – I would have closed if the only metric for success were financial

Theatrical producer in me knew how to present – followed the idea that live as if you have what you want

Hindsight shows me where there would have been little compromise and great growth IF I had understood myself and the dynamic of where I wanted to go better

  1. What was your biggest business challenge of 2020 and how did you overcome it?

Survival – Responding as opposed to reacting – Allowing myself to consider all the options available to me without feeling the need to decide

I involuntarily revisited the mindset I had when I started and connected again with why I started and was able to let go of the trappings I had acquired and placed value on over time

  1. What’s next for Kidstock!? And what mindset shifts/personal development or other business strategies are you currently deploying to help you to get there?

My next step is to return to what was but redefine it for now – circumstances have challenged some of the basic controlling assumptions I had been working from – what do I “need” – both professionally and personally – has been deconstructed and examined to the point of being redefined.

In many ways the silver lining of this pandemic has been the chance to stop running the race, be the Monday morning quarterback to review the plays and the choices made in the game, and then looking ahead be able to return to the game wiser and more aware.

After losing what I had and still being okay, the anticipation of returning to what I had in a more neutral mindset but with a larger toolbox excites me – the business concept which once upon a time was just me as a self-employed person remains intact, but the dynamic of curating a team and managing their efforts and communicating with them in my own best interests is a newly understood potential for me that I am anxious to develop into a stronger skill

Here’s what Brian said after he completed the Up Level Program:

“The most dramatic “aha moment” for me during the Up Level Program was the necessity for me to lead myself before leading others.

My business has been reignited on all levels as a result of my participation in the Up Level Program. I anticipate my team being more proactive and independent.” ~ Brian Milauskas, Founder & CEO Kidstock! Theater

Reaching Your Full Potential In 2021

Reaching Your Full Potential In 2021

On today’s episode, we take a closer look at the habits that will help you reach your full potential in 2021.

I will also share a great resource that will help you not only reach your highest potential but also re-energize you and set you up for innovation and rebuilding a more sustainable and profitable business that also give you freedom on in 2021.

A common denominator that almost every client that seeks out to work with me has, is the desire to reach their full potential. They have so much creativity and tenacity.

Most of them started their business as a solopreneur and quickly grew its way beyond their wildest imaginations.

These high achieving entrepreneurs are on a quest to accomplish great things.

This innate desire, unfortunately, often leads to these folks:

  • Overworking in their business
  • Having unrealistic expectations of themselves
  • They are often unable or unwilling to delegate tasks because
    • They believe that they can do it better than anyone else
    • fear that if they do let go of control that things will go wrong .
  • All of the busy work prevents them from then stepping into being the visionary of their business — which directly impedes their business’ ability to grow and scale in a way that will create freedom.

All of the above leads to lots of frustration, exhaustion, and in the worst cases: burnout and a big desire to sell the business and run away to a beach somewhere.

This is the exact opposite of their desire to achieve their highest potential.

So how does one reach one’s greatness? How do you perform at optimum levels of capability?

To do so you have to cultivate awareness about:

  • Your unique energy and how you recharge it
Are you an introvert? Do you know how to get into a flowing, calm, and clear state in your mind and body?  Knowing your personality type and doing various personality tests and readings will help you understand how to harness your power.
  • Your inner critic and doubter
This is where mindset work and paying attention to what you think becomes vital.
  • What are your beliefs around your business and your ability are and challenging those
  • Your unique leadership qualities that will get the most out of your team
  • Do you know where your business is going?
    • Have you re-evaluated your business goals and vision (with a year like 2020, you may have had many new insights, ideas, and ahas — have you taken the time to re-imagine your vision?)
Now, if you’re going, ooh yes, THIS IS EXACTLY where I have a blindspot.

This is what I need to do and want to work on. I have the perfect resource for you.

20 Business Lessons of 2020

20 Business Lessons of 2020

It’s a new year and I hope that you’re just as excited as I am to finally bid the beast of a year that was 2020 adios and farewell.

As always though, we do learn some of our best lessons when the going gets tough — and so, in today’s episode of the Up Level Project Podcast, I’m sharing 20 lessons that my clients shared/experienced and ones that I learned as well. Click here to get the 20 lessons from 2020!

Let’s dive right in:

  1. You are not in control of everything.
  2. You are not your business.
  1. Getting stuck in the busy work vs. proactive role in your business leads to frustration and burnout.
  1. Healthy financials and cashflow are super important.
  2. Resiliency routines help leaders to gain clarity.
  1. You are your business’s most significant asset.
  1. When leaders have clarity, they inspire productivity and confidence
  2. Stop expecting last year’s path to success to give you the same results this year.
  3. When you learn how to work with your personality type and everything that makes you unique, you gain clarity, energy and get results faster.
  1. Regularly evaluating your Why behind your business.
  2. Business systems and back-office processes are vital to support business growth.
  3. Stop and ask yourself how you can simplify something more often.
  1. Showing up as the leader and drawing firm boundaries with your team empowers them (and will not always feel comfortable or easy.)
  2. Before you can lead others, you have to lead yourself.
  3. Feeling fear is normal.
  4. Don’t take things personally. Blaming yourself when your business isn’t performing the way you expected isn’t productive. It will only mess up your self-esteem. Which will further sabotage your ability to see the solutions that will get you to better results.
  5. Surround yourself with other business owners, people with whom you can safely share ideas, experiences, and challenges. This will help you get out of your head – feel less isolated, acknowledge, and celebrate your wins.
  6. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of courage and commitment to achieve your highest potential.
  7. The more chaotic things get, the more critical it is to have open and honest communication lines with your team and clients.
  8. You will always underestimate your progress and accomplishments — take a minute to acknowledge yourself. Because you’re awesome

May these lessons help you as you set out to accomplish great things in 2021.
