Five questions you must ask before joining a business group.

1) What do I want from this group?

Getting clear on what you need from a business group is the first and very important step to determining if a specific community is for you.
There are many reasons to join business groups, e.g., a specific community may focus on helping its members:

- in their networking efforts to get more clients,
- gain business support and accountability
- provide business training and mastermind opportunities

2) Who’s in the group?

Understanding who you’ll be meeting, what level of business the entrepreneurs are at, and what the vetting process of the community is, is another very important piece of knowledge to glean before you decide to sign up for a specific community.

The quality of the resources and connections you make will only be as good as the caliber of your network.

When you reach a certain level in business, your need for more meaningful connections with fewer participants and more personal attention will increase.

This is one of the aspects of Business Growth Achievers that our members enjoy. Our vetting process ensures that our members are all high-level entrepreneurs who join our group to gain increased accountability and focus on accelerating the growth of their business. It’s also essential that you talk to a few people who are already members of the community to see if you know, like, and trust them.

3) What is the primary purpose of the group?

As I mentioned, there are various business communities at every level of business that provide their member with different growth opportunities. Some may be resource and training oriented, some may be focused on increasing referral networks or giving you direct access to clients, and others may be focused on connecting business peers in mastermind groups/roundtable discussions that solve specific real-time challenges for members.

Knowing the group's purpose will help you determine if the community will meet your specific needs, as you specified in step one above.

Another critical step is to talk to existing members about their experience and the most significant benefits they have gained from the group. This insight will help you determine if the group delivers on its promise to clients.

4) Who’s running the group?

Who is the person in charge, and what is their business experience and credentials? This information is vital to know before joining any business group as the quality of the group leader will give you insight into the results you gain from the group and the caliber of people you will meet in the group.

The leader of the community you’re interested in joining must be a respected business person, has the experience you’re looking for, and you believe they have everything needed to help you achieve your desired goals.

5) What’s the time commitment?

Lastly, as a busy, high-achieving entrepreneur, you want to ensure enough time to get the most out of your investment. Understanding the time commitment needed to get the best results is crucial to making an informed decision and enrolling in a community that will most support you and your business's success.

How to use the answers to these questions to determine if a group is for you

Once you have all the answers to the questions above, you should better understand whether a group is the suitable next investment for your business. Of course, if the above leads to more questions, do further research.

It’s also vital that you check in with your gut. Do you believe that this group is the best fit for you? Do you think that they’ll get you the results you desire and they promise?

It can be easy to cave into peer pressure or succumb to FOMO when you’re not 100% clear about what you need, so ensure that you do all the research, ask all the questions, and sink into your gut before enrolling in a group.

About a vetted business accountability group that accelerates business growth

As a multi-award-winning entrepreneur with a decade of coaching experience working with service-based entrepreneurs, I’ve gained a bird’s eye view of the unique needs of high-achieving entrepreneurs like yourself. It also showed me countless gaps in the services and communities that are available to you.

You see, a decade’s worth of experience has led me to understand that your journey as a service-based business owner who wants to scale their company drastically is a lonely one.

It’s one that’s met with very specific challenges, and you need specific concrete and proven business strategies to help you attain the success (and freedom) you desire.

After helping countless entrepreneurs to scale their companies in a sustainable way with higher profits and more free time – I’ve pulled all my top resources together. I’ve listened carefully to each client and their desire to belong to a community that understood them, who kept them accountable, and where their next success strategies were readily available through workshops and business trainings.

And from this insight,

So what exactly is BGA?

In short, BGA is a business accountability membership group for high-achieving and independent, service-based entrepreneurs.

It’s a space where participants:

  • Hold each other accountable to work on their businesses vs. in it by using our BGA Progress tracker with our proven framework to accelerate business growth.

  • Get to meet and build quality and lasting business relationships that are mutually beneficial and continue to yield more and more rewards (say goodbye to transactional and superficial connections.)

A vetted community:

One of the most heard comments, when people sign up to work with me or attend my events, is this:

“I always meet the most incredible people through you!”

This doesn’t happen by accident – I’ve spent ten years curating my business network only to include the best of the best. And BGA will be no different, all members will be vetted only to include high-achieving independent service-based entrepreneurs with goals of scaling their business.

Bonus perks:

Becoming a member means VIP status, which will give you access to sign up for special members-only events, retreats, business and leadership workshops/training, and more at member rates – including our quarterly business planning calls where Hanneke will lead you through a specific process to help you set strategic business goals with a smart implementation plan and accountability to boot.

You sign up risk-free:

You can cancel your membership anytime and for any reason!
