Janet has worked with various clients providing digital and content marketing services. After two years of full-time freelancing, Janet decided to start Aimtal with her business partner. Together, they have built an agency that not only allows their team to work remotely but to also support clients remotely. Meet Janet

Janet is the CEO + Co-founder of Aimtal. She works directly with her clients to provide exceptional digital and content marketing services. Aimtal supports businesses in the tech consulting, SaaS, and eCommerce industries.

Janet’s passion for marketing didn’t stop after college or after the many internships related to the field. Upon graduation, she worked for an IT staffing firm and helped grow its marketing strategies and department.

After three years with the firm, Janet craved flexibility and creativity. She traveled through South America for four months and upon her return to Boston, she started freelancing.

Meet Courtney

Courtney is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston College. She earned her master’s degree from the Boston University School of Medicine.

With over 10 years of counseling experience. Courtney believes in new-age counseling and making the therapy experience all about meeting the client’s needs.

She believes that humor and shared experience can be a very powerful part of the rapport process that she uses in all her work.

Courtney specializes in adolescents and adults struggling with depression and anxiety/stress symptoms. Her clients describe her as a skilled, personable, understanding therapist.

How I had my best February since being in business.

How I had my best February since being in business.

I can’t believe we’re already in March!? How are you doing? Do you still have that zest and drive to make this year your best year yet? I still do, and I want you to know I’m right here to help and support you to have the best year too!


And that’s precisely why I wanted to share the steps I took to have my best February since starting my coaching business in 2013! And it didn’t involve any new tech-savvy strategies or re-inventing the wheel in my business either. In fact, I did less with more ease the entire month long.


Here are the steps that made all the difference:

1. Outsourcing: I try to no longer do ANY of the “busy” work in my business. I hired a virtual assistant at the beginning of the year, and she’s doing all client on-boarding. The penny on this dropped massively for me when I attended a mastermind day with self-made millionaire Denise Duffield-Thomas last year. Women are terrible at asking for help, and that holds us back in business because we’re spending time on work that is not our zone of genius or keeps us from focusing on the revenue-driving activities in our business. Hiring people to help me with all these ad-hoc activities allowed me to focus my energy on reaching out to new and serving existing clients in an authentic way. As you may have noticed, I’m also undergoing a little bit of a transition over here to working only with people who want to grow their business and side-hustlers starting out or transitioning to full-time entrepreneurs, either in my private practice or through my mastermind programs.  This means the copy on my site needs to be adjusted and instead of wrestling with it for hours – I’ve outsourced it to my favorite copywriter. Other things that are on the list to outsource over the next few months: website optimization and updating, creative designs for website/social media.

2 . Working on my mindset. One of my mastermind buddies’ favorite saying is: “mindset work is the work.” And I have to say I agree with her. Since the beginning of the year, I’ve employed a few new strategies to overcome all fears, self-doubt and pretty much any thought or feeling that’s not serving me and what I want to accomplish in my business or life this year. There are millions of mindset tricks but here are the ones that I’m actively practicing:

a) Morning and evening gratitude and journal practice – I write out what I’m thankful for and allow some time to ponder on it along with anything that I’d like to release.
b) Meditate – I do 10 minutes of meditation in the morning to center me for the day.
c) Exercise regularly – I’ve also started doing a few new classes to spruce things up
d) A conscious effort to drink more water and eat healthier meals.
e) Releasing all things, stories, and people that don’t make me feel great. What that looks like in practice: I limit scrolling time on social media, I don’t read horrible news stories – yes, I stay informed but I don’t need to read 5 articles about the same sh8tty thing. I only hang with close friends who are near and dear and doesn’t suck energy. (note this doesn’t mean I don’t allow my friends or myself to vent or talk about the harder things in life)

3. Slowing the F Down!
If you know me you’ll know that I normally work at the speed of light and I’m going a million miles a minute, while this is great for implementing new programs and moving into action fast, it soooo doesn’t allow for being and working with more intention (read working hard and stupid). Always rushing things out means I don’t work smart in the long run. So I’ve taken some major chill pills (hence all the meditation work) so I can work and implement strategies that will reap more benefits and higher revenue long term.

4. Getting myself in the room with other successful business owners

I saved this one for last because it was the MOST important shift and contributing factor to having the best February since being in business for myself. I attended a mastermind intensive day with my business coach (another one of the best things I ever did for my business) in New York City at the beginning of the month, and it was the best thing ever, for two reasons:
a) I got to be in the room with multiple six and seven figure entrepreneurs; our work together lead to massive shifts for all of us. It heavily shifted the way I approach my business and how I now show up and work on growing it.
b) It was further proof that my mastermind programs are so essential and needed to help other entrepreneurs grow and thrive in their business! In fact, the day made such an impression on me that I decided to create one for the serious business peeps here in Boston too! Five Strategies To Grow Your Business Faster!

Let’s dive right into the five strategies to help you grow your business faster!

When it comes to your business:
  1. What is it that you want to achieve? How will you grow? A plan and a vision is important.
  2. You want to make sure that you stay consistent. Show up every single day and take a couple of steps towards that goal that you have for your business.
  3. Treat your business like it’s a marathon and not a sprint. So make sure that whatever steps you are taking in your business, you can continue to take without burning yourself out. You also want to leave enough time for self-care, and leave yourself enough downtime to rejuvenate your creative spirit.
  4. Collaborate with other people to help you grow your business even faster. Find some people that are either in your industry, but doing something slightly different, or in other industries that have the same audience as you have. You’ll see this a lot with internet business owners who cross-promote each other’s packages all the time. Find someone that you can work with and collaborate with so that you can both have a mutually beneficial relationship, but also benefit both of your audiences.
  5. Get some help. Don’t be shy of hiring a coach or a consultant, joining a mastermind, and also outsourcing any and all of the projects that you no longer find enjoyment in.

It’s important for you to stay patient. Remember that anything worthwhile and successful doesn’t just happen overnight. It does take time. It does take patience, and it’s definitely going to take all of the five tips that I shared with you today.

Five secret tips you need to keep & accomplish new year’s resolutions!

I find this time of year to be so exciting; there is hope and vision of what the year may hold for us. Dreams of big achievements and more. We set goals, make new year’s resolutions and vision boards.

Then somewhere in the middle of January reality kicks in, the wheels come off, we lose our mojo and just like that January 22nd becomes the most depressing day of the year.

But what would it be like if you could keep your focus and dedication? If you could be in possibility mode all year long, what would you be able to accomplish then?

Imagine what your life and business would be like if you could accomplish all your goals.

Here are my five secrets (tried and tested) tips to keep you focused and motivated to accomplish your new year’s resolutions:

1) Make sure you set goals that are SMART.

This means your goals are specific; they are measurable and achievable/attainable, your goals are realistic (and I like to add – somewhat risky), and last but not least they have a timeline (deadline).

2) Know why you want to accomplish these goals and be sure that they hold intrinsic value to you.

Intrinsic goals are goals that will personally bring you joy etc. when they are achieved. E.g. you want to lose 20lbs because it will boost your confidence (intrinsic) vs. you want to lose 20lbs, so other people will call you sexy (extrinsic). Or you want to get a higher paying job because you want to travel more (intrinsic) vs. it will please your spouse (extrinsic).

3) Install daily positive anchors and reminders of your goals and what it will be like when you achieve them.

Set reminders in your calendar, pictures on your desk or quotes as your screen saver. Make sure that where ever you turn you have positive reinforcements to help you stay motivated and focused.

4) Join a mastermind or get a coach.

Both of these will give you the accountability you need and will help you come up with effective strategies and inspiration to achieve your goals. 5) Forgive yourself and get back at it.

Be sure to be kind to yourself if you slip up or make a mistake. This one may be last on the list, but it shouldn’t be viewed as less important than the others. Practicing forgiveness and self-love will save you time and dramatically improve your chances of achieving your goals.

By using these tips I’ve personally been able to accomplish so much more and I’ve also helped my clients to do the same.
