As an award-winning coach and best-selling author who has spent the last decade-plus coaching many service-based business owners, I’ve spent years evaluating and testing the best ways to scale companies that thrive (without killing the owner).

In this blog post, I’m going to share the not-so-secret sauce with you.

The SCALE Freedom Framework™

A proven system to help service-based entrepreneurs grow profits, expand teams, and lead with clarity—without burning out.

As I mentioned, I spent the last decade curating this framework and saw clients achieve amazing results, from 10X-ing their business to creating a lifestyle that helped them be present and able to support family members experiencing medical emergencies, and more.

Let’s dive into the first step.

Step 1: S – Strategic Vision & Scalable Growth Planning

In this step, we spend time defining the service business owner’s true direction, which includes evaluating life and business goals, and building a focused roadmap to sustainable growth. This step ensures that they’re working on what really matters—so they can scale profitably without the chaos.

Why this step matters:

This step is the first one, for obvious reasons. Without a clearly defined vision, it’s impossible to make decisions or take impactful and focused action. Yet, many entrepreneurs run their companies either having lost sight of their vision or having none at all, and this greatly stunts their growth.

Results that happen for entrepreneurs who clearly refine or redefine their business vision:

During my time working with Hanneke, I’ve gained incredible clarity, accountability, and actionable steps to help my business thrive. She’s a highly motivating coach who can help you cut through the noise and reach your goals. My business experienced major growth last year, and my goals for the future feel very much within reach thanks to Hanneke’s proven process.

Let’s move onto step two.

Step 2: C – Confident Leadership Mindset Mapping

During this phase of the framework, I spend a lot of time helping clients shift from reactive operator to strategic leader. Through intentional mindset mapping, we uncover the patterns that keep you stuck in the weeds—and build the confidence and clarity needed to lead a business that scales without you doing it all.

Why this step matters:

This step is often overlooked by those who face business challenges alone or frequently make excuses about why they either don’t have the money to invest in a coach or why now isn’t the right time. Growing a successful business requires a lot of tenacity and grit. Just as athletes work as hard on their mindset as they do on their skills, the same applies to entrepreneurs. Those who successfully scale to a million and beyond (without burning out, becoming resentful, or working 24/7) understand and continue to invest in their own personal and leadership development.

Results that happen for entrepreneurs who create a resilient and confident leadership mindset:

I started working with Hanneke a couple of months ago after I decided I needed a new perspective on my business plan and scaling my company. I had never worked with a business coach before and had no idea what the process was or if it would be worth the expense. After two months of working with Hanneke, I can say that she is worth her weight in gold. She has great intuition, emotional intelligence, and a “no sugar coating” type of business ethic that is great for someone like me who wants her thoughts and feedback openly. I can say that in this short period my confidence as an entrepreneur has soared, which in turn has contributed to tremendous business growth in a very short period of time. If you are looking for a fresh or honest perspective on business or advice of any kind, I could not recommend Hanneke more. She is more than worth it!

Step 3: A – Aligned Team Hiring & Management Strategy

Hire right, delegate with clarity, and build a team that moves the business forward. You’ll stop micromanaging and start leading a values-driven, results-oriented culture.

Why this step matters:

Step three is one that most small business owners struggle with. Without a clear understanding of what specific tasks need to be outsourced and what role the business owner will be stepping into as their business evolves, it’s very easy to hire the wrong folks at the wrong time. It’s also crucial to understand where existing employees fit into your business as the company continues to grow and evolve.

Results that happen for entrepreneurs who implement an aligned hiring and management strategy:

I hired Hanneke Antonelli right before the pandemic (because I was overwhelmed and in tears) and went from five employees in Boston, MA to 60 in 100 cities in the US, and counting, and I’m doing it Like. A. Boss. Call her!
— Janice Carte, Founder and CEO of Tiny Spoon Chef

Step 4: L – Leveraged Financial Strategy

Make confident and strategic money moves. From raising prices and managing margins to improving cash flow and adding new revenue streams, you’ll finally use your numbers to grow on purpose.

Why this step matters:

It’s obvious why step four matters for the growth of any business, and yet a lot of business owners come to me with a lack of understanding of their company’s numbers, financial fears, and limiting beliefs. Those individuals often share outdated financial stories about being uncomfortable with numbers and a scarcity mindset. Getting a basic understanding of numbers is much easier than most people think, and it doesn’t involve scary, complex equations. Once I show clients my easy and quick forecasting strategies and help them shift their mindset around money, they become more empowered and confident about their finances, which has a positive effect on the business’ bottom line.

Results that happen for entrepreneurs who implement a leveraged financial strategy:

Hanneke helped me make so much money! One-on-one business coaching with Hanneke is extremely personable, professional, smart, and ‘real’. She does a great job of balancing the practical business advice with coaching you to clarify your own path and barriers to success. Seeing the results and knowing you can actually do it is so exciting. If you are ready to uplevel your business, Hanneke is your girl.
— Courtney Culnane - CEO & Owner of Leeward Counseling

Step 5: E – Efficient Systems & Scalable Operations

Streamline your backend to free up your time and energy. We’ll optimize processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and build systems that support growth without the need for constant firefighting.

Why this step matters:

As with most things in business, systems are never done. As a business evolves, it’s important to continue working on improved systems and scalable operations. Often, when a business gets stuck at a certain level, it’s because the systems that once helped accelerate growth have broken. I help clients create, update, and implement new efficient systems—that work for their specific business—there’s no cookie-cutter approach here.

Results that happen for entrepreneurs who implement efficient systems and scalable operations:

Working with Hanneke has been a game changer. She brings a fresh, outside perspective that cuts through the day-to-day noise and helps me see things I would otherwise miss. Her advice is honest and direct—no sugar coating—which is exactly what I need. Her strategic mindset has pushed me to plan more effectively, manage my company with greater clarity, and work toward a healthier work-life balance. With her guidance, I’ve learned to better utilize my strengths and stay out of the weeds. Highly recommend if you’re looking for insight, accountability, and real growth.
